Celebrate Easter in pastel colors

Easter is coming up fast and while you’re planning a nice garden party you might want to check out these pictures for some inspiration from the handmade community and local market. Soft pastel colors are so in style this spring. They are perfect for the season and playful enough to please the little ones. Get inspired by nature and the beautifully gentle colors of blooming trees and flowers, fresh green grass and soft feathers of ducklings. Don’t be shy and use them everywhere from decoration to deserts.

Does this photograph of Sweet French Macaroons by HappeeMonkee inspire you? I think it looks lovely and absolutely delish. I am jealous of those of you who know how to make macaroons because you can serve these cuties to your Easter guests and totally blow away their taste buds.

And if you are no pastry wizard don’t cry – you can order these adorable (and I’m sure super yummy) Screaming Strawberry Lemonade Jar Cakes by Tookies over the internet and have them delivered to your doorstep. It doesn’t get easier than that.

If you live near Hoboken consider yourself lucky because you can stop by Sweet Hoboken on the corner of Garden and 4th and pick out any of their mouth-watering cupcakes. It’s a small independent bakery and it’s definitely worth the visit. Their cakes and cupcakes not only look amazing, the taste will knock you off your feet. That’s how good they are.

And while you are working on the seating order, menus, or anything else made of paper, these adorable  mini clothespins by MariaPalito might come in quite handy… never underestimate the April wind – it’s no joke. And you don’t want your lovely hand-written tags and fancy menus flying to your next-door neighbor’s greasy barbecue grill.

Now something for the little ones – I think this Easter Felt Bunny (also by MariaPalito) is adorable. It will keep them busy for a while and it’s a nice little thing they can take home. Which parent doesn’t like party favors that won’t decay their kids’ teeth?

And don’t forget to hang something from whatever and wherever you can – it always brings the party design to another level if you think 3D … don’t just decorate horizontally, decorate vertically too. These fun paper poms by PomLove will give your party a capital P. Isn’t that the whole point anyway?
