I love love love babywearing. It keeps us closer and makes our everyday life easier – particularly when a trip to the City is unavoidable and we need to tackle buses, PATH trains, NYC subways and all the stairs in between. Now that Kamar is 20 months old I mostly use my Beco Butterfly 2 carrier but I still like to use slings. My very first babywearing purchase was this handmade stone grey sling from Polkadot Papoose on Etsy. And since it was my first, I’m very emotional about it. I still use it for a hip carry. This is me and my little man on the way to the playground sometime last fall.
This kind of sling is not adjustable, so you have to order the correct size for your body. The seller had some fun & bold prints, but unfortunately, her store is no longer open. Check some of them out – total eye candy.
Fortunately though, there are some pretty nice sling crafters to be found in the handmade community…

This Etsy seller makes mostly maternity clothes but among them all I found this beauty. I want one badly!

Love these slings! Baby wearing has been such a positive experience for my and my children. I love seeing gorgeous women (yourself included!) who make baby wearing look so hip and modern and not at all “crunchy”, lol!
Haha 🙂 You look fab wearing Angie too!
